Gañafote Sport Events, the company organizing the Gañafote Cup, has been awarded the Second Prize for Internationalization at the 10th edition of the Huelva SME of the Year Awards, an award that highlights the project’s international growth and its contribution to raising the profile of Huelva through sports. The awards are organized by the Huelva Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce of Spain , and Banco Santander, in collaboration with Huelva Información.
The company has received the Runner-up Award for Internationalization, an award that highlights the significant growth the project has experienced in recent years and its ability to carry the name of Huelva and the Gañafote Cup beyond our borders.
The commitment to internationalization has become one of the cornerstones of the Gañafote Cup. By holding preliminary rounds in different countries and welcoming teams from all five continents, the tournament has established itself as a major event in international youth soccer, making Huelva a gathering place for thousands of young soccer players every year.
The awards ceremony took place at an event held at the Huelva Chamber of Commerce, where companies from various sectors were also recognized for their work in areas such as innovation, sustainability, training, and employment. Gañafote Sport Events would like to extend its congratulations to the other award-winning companies in this tenth edition: Gabinete Técnico Ambiental S.L.U., 2026 SME of the Year Award; Berryneo S.L., Runner-up Award for Digitalization and Innovation; Iberian Food Services S.L., Runner-up Award for Training and Employment; Agrícola El Bosque S.L., Runner-up Award for Sustainable SME; and Bodegas Sauci, recipient of the “Business Legacy” Special Mention.
