Atlético Sanluqueño Secures a Spot in the Gañafote Cup Finals

The Chapín Municipal Stadium hosted the qualifying round — the final stage of this year’s Gañafote Cup 2026—after the tournament had traveled halfway around the world through eight previous qualifying rounds in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The tournament in Cádiz “was a key event on the tournament’s calendar,” said Gañafote CEO Joaquín Rasco, who crowned Atlético Sanluqueño Club de Fútbol as champion after defeating Burreños A.D. in a thrilling final decided in a penalty shootout.

The event also had a strong charitable focus. All proceeds from ticket sales went to the initiative "Martín, the Adventure of an X-Men", which focuses on research into rare diseases. This initiative was spearheaded by Borja Ferrer, the patron of the qualifying round , who once again brought together sports and social commitment.
