Located in a privileged environment, San Juan has several places to enjoy nature in its purest form. Among them the natural area Salinas y Muelle del Tinto. The path from the old Rio Tinto station to the pier invites to a pleasant walk, surrounded by vegetation and the singing of small birds, which ends next to the unique waters of our river.
Do not hesitate to go into the trails of the old salt flats, where you can discover its particular flora and a great variety of birds such as the osprey, the common spoonbill or the grey heron, which makes it a perfect place for birdwatchers.
WHAT TO SEE IN MOGUER
The town center of San Juan del Puerto, with its white streets, its stately houses and squares, offers a pleasant walk to the visitor in which you can not miss the Parish Church of San Juan Bautista, the Hermitage of Our Lady of Remedios, the remains of the Convent of Carmen or the Town Hall building.
On the border of the Tinto River you will discover the remains of the historic port, cataloged as an Archaeological Easement Zone and popularly known as Los Ladrillitos. Not far from there, at the beginning of the path to the Tinto pier, you can discover the old railroad stations.
