In addition, dozens of balls of the tournament have been delivered to the smiling children hospitalized in this center. This solidarity action is in addition to those carried out by the Gañafote Cup throughout the year: donation of food at the box office of the opening gala, donations to the Patio del Amor or the planting of trees in Marismas del Odiel in the last edition, which will soon be joined by a new planting in the capital, with the help of Aguas de Huelva.
The president of the Port of Huelva, Alberto Santana; together with the general director of the Gañafote Cup, Joaquín Rasco, the president of the Huelva 2022 Cultural Association, Manu Suero; and the president of the College of Nursing, Patricia Mauri; visited the hospitalized children and learned first hand, from the head of the Pediatrics Block, Sonia Pastor, the benefits that these glasses, which scientifically prove to reduce the level of stress in patients before certain treatments, will bring to children from 0 to 14 years of age.
Santana pointed out that for the Port of Huelva "it is a pleasure to collaborate in this type of actions" hand in hand with associations and groups, which "come to improve our society" and in this case, "benefiting hospitalized children".
The Gañafote Cup, together with associations such as Huelva 2022, is working to ensure that the tournament is more than just a competition and that "it contributes to society, what society gives us," said Rasco.
Huelva 2022 and the Gañafote Cup have thanked the College of Nursing for coordinating the action with the Pediatrics Department of the Juan Ramón Jiménez Hospital.
