Many of you who come to compete wonder about the meaning of the name that gives meaning to our brand: Gañafote. Well, let's start by saying and explaining that it is a localism. A word that is said only by some Spanish provinces, among them, the province of Huelva.

Gañafote is a name given to grasshoppers, generally large, in some Spanish regions, mainly in the province of Huelva. Also other orthoptera, such as cicadas or locusts, are called gañafotes.
And why are we Gañafote?
In the process of creating our brand, first as a sports textile company, and later as a soccer tournament, we decided to look for an original name, with strength and that was not popular to begin with.
In this, the word GAÑAFOTE provided the strength and mystery we were looking for to create a new brand, when we started to give shape to this dream.
In the same way, the word Gañafote represents an animal, free, jumping, enjoying nature and its environment with freedom and energy, like the one we want to impregnate in our brand: representing free children, who play, run, jump....
they have fun with sport and make us have fun working for them!
