AL QUA FC ABU DHABI, ALREADY HAS A DIRECT PASS TO THE FINALS OF THE GAÑAFOTE CUP 2025 IN SPAIN.
The Gañafote Cup continues its steady journey to conquer the five continents. This weekend, it stopped in Dubai, where a qualifying round was held for the second consecutive year, with Al Qua FC from Abu Dhabi winning after defeating BJM Dubai 3-1.
The winner, already have a direct pass to the Final Phase of the Gañafote Cup to be held in the province of Huelva in April 2025. In the coming days, they will join the winners of the previous phases that have yet to be played in Australia, Japan, Argentina or Poland, among others. "It is being incredible the reception of the tournament in all parts of the world, where we are taking the Huelva brand," says the general manager of the Gañafote Cup, Joaquín Rasco.

The best youth teams in the world, from the five continents, together in the same tournament: the Gañafote Cup tournament in Huelva. All with the same objective: "to compete in the most international youth team tournament in its history, where the presence of more than 300 teams, including the best clubs in the world, has already been confirmed," said Rasco.
As GOLD WINNER, AL QUA FC beat BARCA ACADEMY DUBAI in the first semifinals 4-3. And won the tournament with the pass to Spain defeating BJM DUBAI in the final 3-1, highlighting the performance of the player born in Niebla (Huelva) and resident in Dubai, Jose Antonio Ahumada, who will reach the Final Phase in Huelva in April.
As GOLD runner-up, the BJM DUBAI. This team beat LA LIGA ACADEMY DUBAI in the second semifinals by 2-1. As SILVER winner, AL NASR, a team belonging to the Sheikh of Dubai, and as SILVER runners-up, JUVENTUS ACADEMY DUBAI.

The top scorer of the qualifying round was Azaan, with 16 goals scored, playing for BARÇA ACADEMY DUBAI. The best player of the championship in the Arab Emirates was Lee, from the AL QUA FC team (Abu Dhabi). Lastly, José Antonio Ahumada, from Niebla, Huelva, residing in Dubai where his parents live for work reasons, was recognized by the organization as a standout player, earning the respect of Dubai football.
The previous phase was played in the best facilities in the country, La Liga Academy. These facilities support more than 1,500 soccer players every week and have a complex for all sports modalities, as well as a high performance residence. The tournament was played by 16 teams.

This project is well-established in the city, where teams already have the qualifying round and the final phase in Huelva on their calendars in order to travel. "Each year, we receive teams from the Arab Emirates, despite the complexity of traveling to the city of Huelva," Rasco points out. The next stop is Buenos Aires for the third international qualifying round.
