Moguer is one of the towns with the largest number of quality tourist resources with a glorious historical past, which keeps alive its roots, culture and traditions, but also looks to the world with the desire for progress and courage that has always characterized the people of this beautiful land nestled between the river, the sea and the green ocean of Doñana.
One of the towns in Huelva that is well worth a visit is Moguer, the historic birthplace of Juan Ramón Jiménez and 'Columbian place' par excellence.
Moguer as a whole was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest of the Lugares Colombinos, for its relevance in the first voyage of Columbus. But, in addition, part of the municipality is within the Doñana National Park, which gives the town a very important natural heritage.
As the birthplace of Nobel Prize winner Juan Ramón Jiménez, Moguer is also part of the BIC of Places Juan Ramón Jiménez, and the writer and his character Platero are present in much of the life of Moguer.
