Recreativo de Huelva and UD Santa Marta, to the final phase of the Gañafote Cup after winning the preliminary phases in Cortegana (Huelva) and Cabrerizos (Salamanca).
The Gañafote Cup has held two previous phases in the national territory, in Cortegana (Huelva) and Cabrerizos (Salamanca); with victories of Real Club Recreativo de Huelva, in Huelva, and UD Santa Marta, in Salamanca. These two teams already have a direct pass to the Final Phase of the Gañafote Cup to be played in the province of Huelva in April 2025.
They join the Carlos Sarmiento Lora Soccer School, from Colombina, winner of the preliminary phase recently held in the South American continent. They will join the winners of the preliminary phases that have yet to be played in Dubai, Australia, Japan, Argentina or Poland, among others.
All with the same objective: to compete in the most international youth tournament in its history, where more than 300 teams, including the best clubs in the world, have already confirmed their participation.
The Cabrerizos preliminary phase was attended as a guest of the former national coach and world champion with the Spanish national team, Vicente del Bosque, who encouraged all young people to "fulfill their dream" of being a professional footballer, with the values and respect of the world of soccer.
Likewise, Del Bosque learned first-hand about the Gañafote Cup project through its general director, Joaquín Rasco, who was present in Salamanca for the preview of the tournament and took the opportunity to "invite all the teams in the world" to participate in this great championship.
The general manager of Gañafote, Joaquín Rasco, has pointed out that all the previous phases are being a success, both in participation and in the interest of international teams to come to participate in April to Huelva. "There is a before and after in Gañafote, we are a reference tournament worldwide", he indicates.
