The Gañafote Cup continues to take steps toward further growth both on and off the field. The tournament organizers and the Association of Tourism Service Companies of the Huelva Federation of Entrepreneurs (FOE) have signed a partnership agreement with the goal of enhancing the experience of the more than 40,000 people expected to visit the province during the 2027 edition.
Thanks to this partnership, players, families, coaches, and chaperones will have access to a wide range of tourism, leisure, and nature activities during their stay in Huelva. The goal is for those who come to the province to enjoy the tournament to also have the opportunity to discover some of its main attractions and leave with a well-rounded experience.
The agreement was signed by Joaquín Rasco, director of the Gañafote Cup, and Alejandro Écija Cobos, president of the FOE Association of Tourism Service Companies, an organization that brings together companies specializing in active tourism, ecotourism, nature experiences, and recreational activities in the province.
Planned initiatives include guided tours, active tourism options, water sports, experiences in protected natural areas, and various activities designed specifically for tournament participants and their guests.
“The Gañafote Cup provides a unique opportunity to show the world everything Huelva has to offer. We want the families who visit us not only to enjoy soccer, but also to have unforgettable experiences in our natural areas, on our beaches, in our towns, and through our recreational activities,” said Joaquín Rasco.
For his part, Alejandro Écija Cobos emphasized that this collaboration will make Huelva’s tourism offerings accessible to thousands of international visitors, helping them discover and enjoy all the destination’s attractions.
The Gañafote Cup has established itself as one of the largest international youth soccer events in Andalusia. Its most recent edition drew more than 35,000 in-person visitors, with teams representing 18 countries and 80% international participation, generating an estimated economic impact of more than nine million euros and creating more than 200 direct jobs.
With an eye toward 2027, this new partnership reinforces the tournament’s commitment to continuing to generate value for the province and making each edition an opportunity to showcase Huelva’s image to the world.
Because the Gañafote Cup is much more than just soccer: it’s a gateway to discovering Huelva.
