The Nuevo Colombino Stadium was the setting for a very special day with the official opening of the 2026 Gañafote Cup, an event that took place after the World Cup final and brought together all the participating teams in an atmosphere of celebration, camaraderie, and youth soccer.
A total of 142 teams paraded across the field, marking the official start of a new edition of the tournament. Players, coaches, and families shared an emotional moment in which youth soccer took center stage, accompanied by stands filled with family members who didn’t want to miss the event.
The ceremony featured a performance by Lidia Fernández’s dance group, which brought rhythm and spectacle to the event, and live music by DJ Bau Huelva, who turned the stadium into a true opening celebration.
The atmosphere at the Nuevo Colombino reflected the spirit of the Gañafote Cup: camaraderie, excitement, and grassroots soccer in its purest form. It was a symbolic kickoff for a competition that will once again bring together hundreds of young soccer players around the values of youth soccer.
