Huelva is promoting the 2026 Gañafote Cup as one of the major international youth soccer events

On Thursday, the Huelva City Council hosted the official presentation of the 2026 Gañafote Cup, a tournament that will once again put the province on the international youth soccer map this weekend.

The event, held in the Town Hall Courtyard, brought together institutional representatives, organizers, sponsors, and international delegations for a grand opening that underscores the event’s growth and global scope.

The event will bring together more than 5,500 participants, including nearly 400 teams from 18 countries, in a competition that will take place at more than 20 venues throughout the province. In addition to its impact on sports, the tournament is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors and generate an economic impact of around six million euros.

One of the most symbolic moments of the presentation was the welcome extended to international teams, such as Dream Taiwan, who were presented with the Huelva flag in a gesture that reflects the tournament’s global and welcoming spirit.

During the event, the media coverage of this year’s edition was also highlighted; some of its matches will be broadcast on Mediaset Infinity, and there will be coverage on ElDesmarque, further boosting the event’s visibility nationwide.

The 2026 Gañafote Cup will be held from March 27 to 29 and will once again combine competition, camaraderie, and promotion of the region, cementing its status as one of Europe’s most important youth soccer events.
