One of the first teams to arrive in Huelva to participate in the 2026 Gañafote Cup, Dream Taiwan has kicked off its stay in the province with some very special activities related to Huelva’s history and heritage.
Upon their arrival, the players and coaching staff began their experience with a visit to the Dolmen de Soto, located in the town of Trigueros. There, they were able to see firsthand one of Europe’s most important prehistoric monuments. During the guided tour, the team learned about the details of this site, which is more than 6,000 years old and is considered one of the great landmarks of megalithic heritage.
The day continued with a visit to the Muelle de las Carabelas in La Rábida, where the team members delved into the history of the discovery of the Americas. They were able to see up close the full-scale replicas of La Pinta, La Niña, and the Santa María, and enjoy a space that faithfully recreates the expedition that changed the world.
These experiences allow participants in the Gañafote Cup to combine sports, socializing, and learning about the local area, reinforcing the tournament’s international and cultural character. The 2026 Gañafote Cup, which kicks off this weekend, will continue to bring together teams from around the world in an event that cements Huelva’s status as a leader in international youth soccer.
