Ayamonte 1 - Gañafote Cup

Ayamonte in the province of Huelva, also called "the city of light", has always been a quiet fishing village of white houses that extend to the ocean, today it is also an important tourist center where the sea and the Guadiana River come together offering us a wonder of nature and miles of incredible beaches.

A place to enjoy the Andalusian Atlantic, in that strip where Spain almost merges with Portugal. Isla Canela belongs to this municipality of Huelva, with its two population centers and its famous beaches.

Ayamonte shares with Portugal the mouth of the Guadiana and its marshes, which here are called "zaperas" and have a great ecological diversity. The international bridge of the Guadiana River connects Spain with Portugal from Ayamonte and is one of the longest in Spain and the third longest in Portugal: it is 666 meters long. It connects directly with the Portuguese city of Vila Real de Santo Antônio. This condition attracts numerous tourists who take advantage of its proximity to visit the neighboring country.
