The Adiur team will be one of the more than 200 teams that will compete in Huelva in the Final Phase of the Gañafote Cup in March, together with the best clubs in the world. It has been the winner of the previous phase in the municipality of Funes, in Argentina, where eight teams have competed.
After defeating Hughes FC 6-1 in the final, they got a direct pass to the Final Phase. The tournament was played at the facilities of Grupo Ekipo, Gañafote Cup's ally in this South American country and where everything indicates that next year a South American Gañafote Cup competition will be held. The general director of the Gañafote Cup at international level, Joaquín Rasco, thanked the welcome in Argentina, and especially the Ekipo Group; "in one of the places in the world where soccer is lived with more passion".
Nacho Scocco, winner of Copa Libertadores with River Plate, was present at the tournament. And Fabián Soldini, the man who took Messi to FC Barcelona. On the first day of the tournament on Friday, the first matches were played and a small inaugural Gala was held.
