Impressive atmosphere was experienced at the Precission Football facilities, located in Ibn Matuta, in Dubai, to host the first international preliminary phase of the Gañafote Cup tournament; with victory for Michel Salgado's academy in the emirate, Fursan Hispania Football Club, in a great final very disputed in its early stages.
The team from the Spanish Soccer School in Dubai won the final 3-6 against 'Precission Football', which has earned them a direct pass to the Final Phase of the Gañafote Cup 2024, to be held in Huelva (Spain) from March 21 to 24, 2024, where they will be able to face the best teams in the world: FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Milan, Inter Milan, Benfica, Porto, Monaco, Chelsea, Liverpool, Olympique de Marseille, Atletico Madrid, Atletic Club de Bilbao, Villarreal, PSV, Brugge, Roma, Gran Rosario of Argentina or Recreativo de Huelva (dean of Spanish soccer), among others.
The general manager of the Gañafote Cup at international level, Joaquín Rasco, excited by the success, indicates that "we did not expect such a good reception in this first phase that we developed worldwide. Dubai has treated us very well, the clubs want to come to Huelva to compete, despite not having won this previous phase". "It's amazing how soccer is experienced here in the emirate," he says. "We have lived magical days, which invites us to return next year with a tournament that is even bigger," he concludes.
The third classified has been 'LaLiga Academy Dubai', who won in the consolation final against 'Empire FC'; in a previous phase where teams from up to three emirates participated, with a total of 16 clubs represented. All this is possible thanks to the sponsorship of the company Make Fortune, a company located in Dubai, who facilitates other companies around the world to reach this city; and on this occasion, main ally in this edition of the Gañafote in Dubai.
"We are delighted because the clubs have been very happy with the organization and it was a great responsibility," said Juan Pablo Reynoso, collaborator of the tournament in the Arab Emirates. For the Gañafote Cup Communication Director at international level, Manu Suero, "we are making Huelva known in the rest of the world through soccer, through grassroots sport. We will continue working so that the Gañafote Cup grows and becomes the best youth soccer tournament worldwide".
And all this, thanks to the support of administrations such as the Junta de Andalucía, Diputación de Huelva and the municipalities of Huelva, Palos de la Frontera, Moguer, Rociana del Condado, Villablanca, Almonte, Ayamonte, Cartaya, Lepe and Aljaraque. All these municipalities will be official venues in this eighth edition in the province of Huelva.
